Perfect for the person confined to bed Jun 17, 2005
By Wayne Fogel My wife is confined to bed with a degenerative disease. We have tried several different trays and find this one exceptional. It is large (the tray itself measures 15" by 19"). The even wider base is high enough to comfortably go over her legs thereby minimizing bumps and wide enough to provide stability. The removable tray has two sturdy handles allowing you to first position the base and then bring in the food on the tray with all necessary silverware, napkins, beverages and condiments. Taking it away is equally easy. It is pricier than most breakfast in bed trays but well worth the price if you need to use it on a continuing basis.

Well designed Jul 12, 2008
By Composer The large photo shows this product with the adjustable bottom holding a book. This piece folds flat, and there is a separate, removable tray that fits on top. The separate tray is a great idea, as one does not have to move the entire piece when serving food, for instance.

This tray was a Christmas present for my mother, and she loves it. She had a similar tray for years, but it started falling apart. Replacing it was very difficult as this type is hard to find these days. The only negative is the price, which is a little excessive.

I was placed on bed rest for a while and wanted a table for my lab top and books. I researched laptop bed tables, looked at several, read review and this one caught my attention. It is wide enough for my legs to move freely. I don't feel any constraints. Being able to raise the base was great to prop a book up for reading. The side compartments are perfect for holding items such as pens, books, pads ect. It doesn't fold up to be easily stored but it's appearance is so pretty that I don't mind it sitting around. It was more expensive than the others but very well worth it...
